Job summary

Medanta seeks a Phlebotomist for Homecare Services to collect blood samples at patients' homes, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely handling. You will follow SOPs, verify patient data, and maintain sample integrity during transit.

The role requires 1–3 years in phlebotomy (homecare preferred), with a valid DMLT/BMLT and a two-wheeler license preferred for home visits.

Qualifications

• Valid DMLT/BMLT degree
• 1–3 years phlebotomy experience, homecare preferred
• Valid two-wheeler license preferred for home visits

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture and capillary sample collection at patients' residences
• Verify patient identity, requisitions, and sample labelling accurately
• Follow SOPs for sample collection, storage, and transportation
• Ensure infection control and biomedical waste disposal
• Maintain sample integrity during transit to the laboratory within TAT
• Use hospital LIS or mobile apps for order updates and tracking
• Provide clear pre- and post-collection instructions to patients
• Maintain professionalism, comfort, and confidentiality
• Report adverse events, sample rejections, or complaints promptly
• Maintain daily logs and inventory of consumables

Role Summary

Responsible for safe, accurate, and timely blood sample collection from patients at home, ensuring adherence to hospital quality standards, patient comfort, and proper sample handling.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform venepuncture and capillary sample collection at patients residences.
2. Verify patient identity, test requisitions, and sample labelling accurately.
3. Follow hospital SOPs for sample collection, storage, and transportation.
4. Ensure proper infection control, hygiene, and biomedical waste disposal.
5. Maintain sample integrity during transit to the laboratory within TAT.
6. Use hospital/LIS or mobile apps for order updates and sample tracking.
7. Provide clear pre- and post-collection instructions to patients.
8. Handle patients professionally, ensuring comfort and confidentiality.
9. Report adverse events, sample rejections, or patient complaints promptly.
10. Maintain daily logs, inventory of consumables, and attendance discipline.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• DMLT / BMLT .
