Job Title: Pharmacy Officer (Contract/Outsourcing Basis)

Organization: District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO), Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai District

Number of Posts: 01 (OC – Sports Category)

Programme Name: Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) – National Urban Health Mission (NUHM)

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 23,393/-

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
  • Must have passed SSC or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Must hold a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) qualification.
  • Alternatively, candidates with an Intermediate vocational course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of AP are also eligible.
  • Mandatory registration with the Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy Council.
  • If a candidate possesses both D.Pharma and B.Pharma, the highest percentage secured in any of these qualifications will be considered.
Age Limit:
  • Maximum age: 42 years (as of 01.01.2025).
  • Age relaxations applicable:
    • SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates: 5 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + length of service in the Armed Forces
    • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years
    • Maximum permissible age (including relaxations): 52 years
Application Process
Application Fee:
  • OC/BC Candidates: Rs. 300/-
  • SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 150/-
  • Physically Challenged Candidates: Exempted from fee
  • Payment must be made via a Demand Draft in favor of District Medical & Health Officer, Ananthapuramu.
  • Separate applications must be submitted for each post applied for, along with separate application fees.
Submission of Application:
  • Application forms will be available online at ananthapuramu.ap.gov.in from 03.04.2025 (10:00 AM) to 10.04.2025 (05:30 PM).
  • Completed applications must be submitted to the Office of the DM&HO, Ananthapuramu before the deadline.
  • Candidates should obtain a dated acknowledgment from the receiving authority as proof of submission.
Selection Process
Total Marks: 100
  1. Academic Qualification (75 Marks):
    • 75% weightage based on aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
    • For CGPA holders:
      • Pharmacy candidates: (CGPA – 0.75) × 10 × 75%
      • Other candidates: CGPA × 9.5 × 75%
  2. Experience Weightage (Up to 15 Marks):
    • Contract/Outsourcing/Honorarium Services (Including COVID-19 Duty):
      • Tribal Areas: 2.5 marks per 6 months
      • Rural Areas: 2.0 marks per 6 months
      • Urban Areas: 1.0 mark per 6 months
      • COVID-19 Service: 0.8 marks per month (if served for less than 6 months)
  3. Additional Considerations:
    • Candidates must submit an original service certificate issued by a competent authority.
    • If the candidate has worked in the same category of the post applied for, service weightage will be applicable.
Tenure & Terms of Appointment
  • Initial contract period: 1 year (extendable based on government policies).
  • Candidates appointed to Urban PHCs must serve a minimum of 6 months at their assigned location.
  • Resignation Policy:
    • 2 months prior notice required for resignation.
    • Failure to provide notice may impact future employment eligibility.
  • The District Selection Committee holds the right to terminate contracts with one-month notice as per government regulations.
Important Instructions for Candidates
  • Selected candidates must reside at their assigned headquarters.
  • Adherence to government rules and regulations is mandatory.

  • Merit List Validity:
    • The merit list is valid for one year from the date of publication for filling arising vacancies.
    • The validity extends until 31st March 2026.
    • The number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on departmental needs.
