About the Role
A reputed pharmaceutical company based in Thiruvananthapuram is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist cum Store Keeper to manage pharmaceutical inventory, ensure proper storage and handling of medicines, and oversee day-to-day store operations. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of pharmaceutical products, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
Pharmacy Management
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceutical products.
- Verify medicines and healthcare products received from suppliers.
- Monitor expiry dates and maintain stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO practices).
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain records of medicines, consumables, and related documentation.
Store & Inventory Management
- Manage inventory levels and maintain optimum stock availability.
- Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation.
- Prepare purchase requisitions based on stock requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely replenishment.
- Monitor inward and outward movement of goods and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and pharmaceutical products.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain stock registers, inventory reports, and store records.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Record damaged, expired, or returned products and ensure proper disposal procedures.
- Assist management during audits and inventory inspections.
Coordination & Compliance
- Liaise with suppliers, distributors, and internal departments.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the store area.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) / Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Valid Pharmacy Registration preferred.
- 1–5 years of experience in pharmacy, medical store, warehouse, inventory, or pharmaceutical store management.
- Freshers with strong academic credentials may also be considered.
