Job summary

Apollo Pharmacy in Goa is seeking a Pharmacist to join our store team. You will handle prescription filling at the counter, advise on dosage, dispense medications, and ensure 100% accuracy with bills and patient records.

You will also oversee cold chain storage, inventory maintenance, and customer service while supporting home delivery and pharmacy targets. This role requires PCI-licensed qualification and pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidates must hold D. Pharm, B. Pharm or M. Pharm with PCI license.
• Experience in dispensing medicines and counter sales is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory and cold chain processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prescription Filling: Attend to prescriptions at the sales counter, advise dosage, dispense drugs, and ensure bill accuracy.
• Customer Service: Counsel patients on health and medicines; manage home delivery register and follow-ups; handle drug information queries.
• Cold Chain Management: Store drugs under proper refrigeration and security conditions.
• Inventory Management & Sales: Enter stocks, verify receipts, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely rack-wise checks.
• Bill Management: Perform other duties as assigned by the in-charge.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prescription Filling: Attend to doctors’ prescriptions at the sales counter, advise dosage, dispense drugs, arrange unavailable medicines from in-house pharmacies ensuring 100% prescription compliance. Consult with doctors on medicine substitutions. Cross‑check issued medicines with the bill in terms of patient name, item name, quantity, expiry, and acknowledge the bill.
• Customer Service: Counsel patients/customers on health, medicine reactions; maintain good relations with customers/doctors; maintain a free home delivery register and follow up deliveries in a timely manner. Handle inbound calls focusing on drug information, patient counselling/education, and free home delivery orders. Handle patient queries and issues regarding drug therapy and drug information. Handle cash at the billing counter as required.
• Cold Chain Management: Store drugs under proper refrigeration and security conditions.
• Inventory Management & Sales: Enter stocks in the computer system, print receipts from stores for cross‑checking with item issue lists; maintain records for out‑of‑stock items and follow up. Ensure 100% physical stock is tallied per category (tablets, syrups, injections, fluids, ointments, liquids, capsules, powders, drops, surgicals, miscellaneous) twice a week. Perform daily rack‑wise verification of fast‑moving items. Ensure shift hand‑over/take‑over before leaving. Focus on sales and strive to attain pharmacy targets. Verify quantity, MRP, batch number, and expiry date of received items.
• Bill Management: Perform any other job assigned by the in‑charge as per exigencies of work.
