Job summary

Syngene International Limited seeks an experienced Pharmacist in our Human Pharmacology Unit at Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (TSHTI). The role involves dispensing investigational products, maintaining IP records, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and data integrity standards.

Qualified candidates hold a B.Pharm or M.Pharm with 6–11 years of relevant experience and will oversee inventory, labeling, and collaboration with investigators to ensure protocol

Qualifications

• B.Pharm or M.Pharm degree required.
• 6–11 years of relevant pharmaceutical/clinical experience.
• Experience dispensing and handling investigational products (IPs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of clinical supplies and IPs.
• Receive, identify and store Investigational Products.
• Obtain randomization schedules and dispense IPs accordingly.
• Administer IPs to study participants per protocol.
• Maintain accountability, archiving and disposal of IPs.
• Prepare labels for IP handling and coordinate with investigators.
• Maintain temperature/humidity logs for the area/equipment.
• Oversee pharmacy cleaning and calibration of instruments.
• Ensure access control for staff and visitors to the pharmacy.
• Follow Head-Human Pharmacology Unit/Head-Syngene Translational & Clinical Research directions.

Role Accountabilities

• Maintain records of all clinical supplies, Investigational Products (IP) and other IP related supplies.
• Receipt, Identification and storage of Investigational products.
• Obtain randomization schedule from biostatistician before the start of the study or as per the study requirement.
• Dispensing of Investigational products according to the randomization schedule.
• Administration of investigational products to the study Participants.
• Maintain Accountability, Archiving, Disposal/Return of Investigational Products records.
• Preparation of labels as required for the handling of IPs.
• Coordinate with Investigator as required for IMP related issues.
• Maintain Temperature and Humidity monitoring records for respective area and equipment.
• Maintenance of pharmacy cleaning activities.
• Coordinate for calibration/validation/maintenance of pharmacy instruments / equipment’s with EAM and vendors.
• Authorize entry of staff and visitors to Pharmacy, if necessary, only and accompany them during pharmacy visit.
• To carry out any other responsibility as and when assigned by the Head-Human Pharmacology Unit / Head-Syngene Translational & clinical research
