New Delhi, October 3, 2026:The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Director (Technical) in Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), a Mini Ratna Schedule-B subsidiary of Coal India Limited.

The vacancy will arise on 1 August 2027. The selected candidate will be appointed for a period of five years or until the date of superannuation, whichever is earlier.

About the Post

The Director (Technical) is a Board-level position and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director of CMPDI. The role involves advising on matters related to mineral exploration, mine planning, mine safety and other technical activities of the company.

Qualification: B.Tech or B.E. in Mining Engineering from a recognised university/institution along with a First Class Certificate of Competency under the Indian Mines Act.

Experience: Minimum five years of cumulative experience in Mining Operations or Mine Planning at a senior management level during the last ten years.

Age: Minimum 40 years (with prescribed residual service requirements).

Eligible candidates from Central Public Sector Enterprises, Central Government (including All India Services and Armed Forces), State PSEs, and private sector companies meeting the turnover criteria can apply.
