Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Performance Engineering specialist to oversee all phases from requirement gathering to reporting, focusing on improving application performance. You will develop and execute performance tests using JMeter, and leverage Dynatrace for deep-dive monitoring to derive actionable insights.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers, architects, and operations to analyze results, optimize systems, and ensure reliability and scalability in complex environments.

Qualifications

Expertise across all phases of Performance Engineering activities including Requirement Gathering, Planning, Scripting, Execution, Analysis, Troubleshooting, Tuning and Reporting to evaluate and improve application performance. JMeter Proficient in developing and executing performance testing scripts and scenarios with the ability to enhance/customize using advanced scripting techniques. Dynatrace Strong expertise in deep-dive performance monitoring and analysis providing actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Performance Testing Skilled in defining workload models simulating production-like scenarios, executing large-scale performance tests and analyzing results to ensure system stability, scalability and reliability.
• Non-Functional Requirements & Architecture Solid understanding of NFRs, system architecture and technology stacks to ensure comprehensive performance coverage.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization Ability to fine-tune application, database and infrastructure components for optimal performance.
• Collaboration & Communication Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, operations and business stakeholders to analyze results, recommend optimizations and drive performance improvements.
