Job summary

Pitch Black is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join a fast-paced VFX studio in Mumbai. You will partner with department heads to drive people strategies that align with production goals and build a high-performing, engaged workforce.

You’ll manage the full employee lifecycle, oversee employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives, ensure HR operations run smoothly, and use data insights to support decision-making while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in HR, ideally in fast-paced or creative environments.
• MBA / PGDM / relevant postgraduate qualification (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR compliance.
• Proven stakeholder management and business partnering experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g. Workday, SAP).
• Exposure to global teams is a plus.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Department Heads and Production teams to align workforce planning with project needs, act as a trusted advisor on performance and engagement, and support organisational effectiveness.

You’ll manage the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding—while leading employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives. You’ll also ensure HR operations run smoothly, maintain compliance, and use data insights to support decision-making.
