Job summary

Sistema.bio is seeking a People Business Partner to act as the HR representative for the country, ensuring legal compliance and driving people initiatives across the organization.

You will manage onboarding, payroll, performance, engagement, and exits, while developing country-specific policies and delivering trainings for managers and staff.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of HR experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of local Indian HR compliance and payroll (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure legal compliance in India and provide ongoing local compliance training.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, payroll, performance, engagement, retention, exits.
• Develop country-specific People policies and processes.
• Design and deliver country-level HR trainings for managers and staff.
• Drive engagement and culture; lead internal communications.
• Produce quarterly People data reporting and analytics.
• Maintain BambooHR expertise and train others on its use.

Your mission at Sistema.bio:

Reporting to the VP - People, the People Business Partner will serve as a key HR/People representative for the country, responsible for co-designing the people strategy and driving its effective implementation across the organization.

You’ll be in charge of:

• Ensuring legal compliance in the country of operations and providing continuous training on local compliance requirements
• Managing People interventions across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, payroll, compliance, audits, performance management, employee engagement, retention, and exits
• Adapting or developing country-specific People policies and processes
• Designing and conducting country-level training for managers and employees on HR policies and processes
• Driving employee engagement and country culture while championing Sistema.bio’s internal communications and organizational culture
• Executing quarterly People data reporting and analytics
• Managing and maintaining expertise in the internal HR software, BambooHR, and training others on its effective use

Education:

• Bachelor in Management, HR, or any relevant field

Experience:

• Between 2 and 4 years experience in HR or applicable relevant experience

• Fluent in English
• Preferred: Fluent in Hindi
