Job summary

Sistema.bio is a global social enterprise focused on biodigester technology to improve life on Earth, operating in over 20 countries with 150,000+ farms aided so far. We seek a Business Development Manager to establish strategic partnerships, secure funding, and develop scalable programs that drive climate action and social impact.

You will identify corporates, CSR units, foundations, and public institutions, maintain a strong deal pipeline, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft

Qualifications

  • MBA or a degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, or key account management.
  • Experience working with social or environmental organizations, preferably in fundraising or client-focused roles.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and build relationships with corporates, CSR units, foundations, multilateral agencies, and public institutions to secure funding and strategic collaborations.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential partners aligned with the organization’s mission and geographic priorities.
  • Serve as the primary focal point for key partners with regular communication and transparent engagement.
  • Manage reporting timelines, support partnership renewals, and identify opportunities to deepen collaborations.
  • Collaborate with partnership, technical, and finance teams to develop proposals and programs aligned with partner priorities, funding requirements, and community needs.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums, working groups, and impact events to enhance visibility and sector presence.
  • Build cross-sector partnerships and facilitate dialogue to support advocacy, collaboration, and collective action.

Your mission at Sistema.bio:

Reporting to the Sr. Business Development Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for building strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing relationships with companies, public institutions, and NGOs. The role requires a proactive professional with strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of identifying shared goals, securing funding, and developing scalable programs that drive climate action and social impact.


You’ll be in charge of:


  • Identifying and building relationships with corporates, CSR units, foundations, multilateral agencies, and public institutions to secure funding and strategic collaborations.

  • Maintaining a strong pipeline of potential partners aligned with the organization’s mission and geographic priorities.

  • Serving as the primary focal point for key partners and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and transparent engagement.

  • Managing reporting timelines, supporting partnership renewals, and identifying opportunities to deepen collaborations.

  • Collaborating with partnership, technical, and finance teams to develop proposals and programs aligned with partner priorities, funding requirements, and community needs.

  • Representing the organization at industry forums, working groups, and impact events to enhance visibility and sector presence.

  • Building cross-sector partnerships and facilitating dialogue to support advocacy, collaboration, and collective action.


More about YOU:

Education:


  • MBA or a degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field


Experience:


  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, or key account management.

  • Experience working with social or environmental organizations, preferably in fundraising or client-focused roles.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.


Key Skills:


  • Demonstrable track record of developing and managing new partnerships

  • Strong experience in project proposal development, fundraising, and related activities

  • Passion for driving sustainable development and improving farm productivity through impactful enterprises

  • Willingness and ability to travel and engage with national and international partners

  • Strong self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and make informed decisions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation abilities

  • High energy, enthusiasm, and drive to achieve ambitious targets
