Job summary

Nextenti Tech in Hyderabad, India is seeking a dedicated pediatric ICU nurse to provide comprehensive care to critically ill children in the PICU. The role focuses on continuous monitoring, timely interventions, and collaboration with physicians to ensure patient safety.

You will assist with emergency procedures, ventilated patient management, medication administration, and meticulous documentation. Strong communication with families and the care team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, oxygen saturation, ECG, neurological status, and overall condition.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures, resuscitation, and critical care interventions.
• Manage and monitor ventilated patients and provide appropriate airway and respiratory care.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, medication charts, and vital signs documentation.
• Monitor IV lines, central lines, feeding tubes, catheters, and other medical devices.
• Identify changes in patients' conditions and immediately report critical findings to the treating physician.
• Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and hospital protocols.
• Assist with procedures such as suctioning, blood sampling, catheterization, and pediatric emergency care.
• Provide post-operative and continuous monitoring of pediatric patients.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, patients' parents, and caregivers.
• Educate and support parents regarding the child's treatment, care, and recovery.
• Ensure proper maintenance and availability of emergency equipment and PICU supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized PICU environment.
• Participate in shift handovers and coordinate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
