Job Summary

In this role, you will participate in the design and preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations and Plant Design and Piping (PD&P) drawings. You will originate basic deliverables and documents and verify compliance of pipe configurations and manufacturers’ drawings. Your efforts will contribute to ensuring PD&P design meets industry best practices and compliance standards.

Major Responsibilities

• Compile, adjust, and correlate data for plant design - engineering work.
• Participate in preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations, and plant design and piping drawings.
• Examine and analyze pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance.
• Provide input to and/or maintain technical logs and records.
• Check manufacturers’ drawings and data for compliance with specification and design drawings.
• Design or participate in design for minor structures and portions of plant or piping.
• Originate basic discipline deliverables and documents, including basic pipe support details and designs, bulk material take-offs, wall thickness calculations, piping material classes or simple stress analysis calculations.
• Coordinate work and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
• Provide direct support to other engineering disciplines for plant design and piping related matters.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Requires a minimum of 4–6 years of related experience.
• Associate degree or related technical training preferred.
