Job summary

EY is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage monthly payroll processing and related MENA-region activities. The role involves analyzing transactions to identify root causes and variances, designing complex reports, and driving automation and special payroll projects.

The candidate will engage in innovation of payroll tools and support cross-functional teams. The position requires strong MS Excel and SAP skills, plus solid accounting knowledge and the ability to mentor juniors.

The opportunity

The purpose of this job is to manage the monthly payroll and related processes for MENA regions. Analyze the transactions to conclude root causes, variances and suggest corrections to management. Design and create complex reports for user specifications. The position will ideally have to handle innovation of payroll tool and special projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Perform Monthly & weekly payroll processing, Final settlement of employees etc.
• Perform the monthly reconciliations to Identify and solve issues that affect reporting
• Handle complex ad hoc reports from clients in a timely manner
• Ensure proper review mechanism is in place for the respective teams
• Develop new reports as well as enhance existing processes by working on automation as much as possible

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience in payroll processing, Final settlements, advances, and other payment processing to employees.
• Have sound knowledge in accounting concepts
• Possess good communication skills
• Be strong in MS Excel skill and SAP applications
• Understand financial reporting concepts and basic process flow
• Ability to understand numbers and arrive at inferences
• Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach the juniors

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience in employee payroll cost accounting and reconciliation processes.
• B.Com or M.Com with 4 6 years of experience
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Have sound knowledge in accounting concepts
• Good communication skills
