Job summary

Pebl is hiring a Payroll Administrator II to join our Payroll Operations team in Bengaluru. You will enter payroll data, maintain records, and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely, accurate payroll delivery across locations.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors while supporting quarter-end processes and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in payroll operations, strong Excel skills, and a meticulous focus on data accuracy and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting payroll operations, including payroll adjustments, reconciliations, compliance activities, and issue resolution.
  • Experience using payroll systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to manage and validate payroll information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with payroll data, employee records, and payroll transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance requirements and the ability to follow established policies, procedures, and escalation processes.
  • Experience supporting payroll system updates, testing activities, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to partner with internal teams, external payroll providers, and team members to support payroll delivery.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential employee and payroll information.
  • 1-2 years supporting payroll operations, payroll administration, or payroll data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Enter payroll data, including timesheets, hours worked, earnings, deductions, and employee changes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and tax updates.
  • Review and validate payroll data, identifying discrepancies and supporting timely resolution prior to payroll processing.
  • Partner with service providers and in-country payroll vendors to support accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies and assist with resolving employee and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Follow established payroll procedures, compliance requirements, and escalation processes to support accurate payroll delivery.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator II to join our Payroll Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with payroll operations experience who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and ensuring accuracy throughout the payroll process.
