We are looking for a commercially savvy Payments Partnerships India Lead to join our Payment Partnerships team in India. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing and growing Adyen’s payment partnerships across the region — a critical component of Adyen’s global payments offering.

You will work closely with the Country Manager, India leadership, product managers and developers to drive strategic initiatives with local, regional, and global partners. As a lead, you will help shape the partnerships strategy while mentoring and supporting team members to deliver strong outcomes.

We are looking for someone who is thoughtful, adaptable, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution while building strong relationships across the payments ecosystem.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for managing and expanding Adyen’s payment partnerships
  • Drive the strategy and prioritization of key partnership initiatives, including structuring and negotiating new opportunities
  • Oversee ongoing partner management and strengthen relationships with key payment partners
  • Elevate Adyen’s influence in the ecosystem through joint product development, co‑marketing, and other strategic initiatives
  • Develop and execute programs that support Adyen’s strategic goals and overall positioning in key markets and segments
  • Act as a subject matter expert on payment trends, rules, and regulations, sharing insights with internal stakeholders
  • Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key merchants by providing insights on payment partnerships and developments
  • Partner with product teams to support the development and rollout of new payment products and capabilities
  • Manage partner escalations and ensure issues are resolved with the appropriate internal teams
  • Foster strong cross‑functional collaboration across global teams including product, engineering, and commercial teams
Who you are
  • 13+ years of experience managing partnerships or strategic accounts, preferably within payments, fintech, or financial services
  • At least 5 years of people leadership experience, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and emerging industry trends
  • Commercially minded with experience structuring partnerships and negotiating agreements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actions
  • Comfortable working across commercial, product, and technical discussions
  • Experience working in global, cross‑functional environments
  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving complex initiatives
