JP Morgan Chase is seeking a Payment Lifecycle Analyst within Payments Operations to support smooth fund transfers and strengthen our payments framework. You will apply automation concepts and data analysis to processing across products and parties, while partnering with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive improvements.

You will monitor Nostro balances, support funding predictions, and help manage intraday cash projections with emphasis on controls, risk mitigation, and compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting required.
• 2+ years in settlement, accounting, or cash management operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsabilidades

• Create forecast by Currency and legal entity.
• Monitor Nostro account balances and justify out-of-tolerance variances.
• Collaborate with LOBs to build funding position for Treasury trading.
• Analyze intraday cash projections with trading desks for accurate Nostro cash position.
• Research and report intraday projection variances promptly to Treasury.
• Use reconciliation tools to resolve statement-to-ledger breaks.
• Prepare Reg W and Affiliate balances for Reg Reporting teams.
• Suggest process improvements to close control gaps and drive efficiency.
• Identify and address risk areas in daily payment operations.

As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst within Payments Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transfer of funds between various parties while enhancing our payment operations framework. You will leverage your knowledge of automation technologies and systems architecture to process payments across various products and parties. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving issues, making decisions guided by established practices, and contributing to short-term operational goals. You will engage with stakeholders, manage projects, and spur continuous improvement initiatives, building strong working relationships with internal lines of business. Your ability to understand and apply cybersecurity controls, anti-fraud strategies, and data analysis techniques will be key to your success in this role.

Job responsibilities

• Create forecast by Currency and legal entity and provide
• Monitor Primary and Secondary Nostro account balances to ensure previous days funding activity was executed accurately. Perform research and justify balances that are not within tolerance.
• Work in conjunction with LOB’s to compile funding predictions in order to build an overall funding position for Treasury to trade.
• Monitor intraday cash projections. Work with the LOB’s and trading desks to analyze source data predictions in order to construct an accurate and final Nostro account cash position.
• Perform research to validate intraday projection variances promptly advising Treasury.
• Utilize the reconciliation applications to review and resolve statement to ledger breaks.
• Compile and report Reg W and Affiliate reporting balances for JPMCC and JPMS to the Reg Reporting teams
• Provide recommendations related to control gaps and work with manager to mitigate risks.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements in order to drive change and enhance existing processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years experience in settlement, accounting or cash management operations.
• Previous experience performing work requiring attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and daily deadlines.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks within a deadline oriented and fast paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral written communications and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Knowledge of Funds Transfer principals such as SWIFT and Fedwire a plus.
