Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Hyderabad seeks an experienced security professional to manage Palo Alto firewalls, VPN tunnels (S2S and remote access), and policy administration. You will diagnose issues with firewall logs, captures, and rule sets while coordinating with global teams.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of Palo Alto experience, CISCO/ networking knowledge, and certifications (Palo Alto/ ITIL). Excellent communication and multi-project handling are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ diploma in CS or equivalent with 4–7 years experience in Palo Alto
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with firewall logs and tcpdump/pcap analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex ideas to management
• Knowledge of Prisma cloud and Site-to-Site/Remote access VPN configurations

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with Next Generation Palo Alto firewalls
• Build S2S VPN tunnels including NAT requirements
• Troubleshoot using firewall logs and tcpdump/pcap captures
• Apply firewall policies and cleanup as needed
• Understand IPS/IDS, URL filtering and application controls
• Awareness of BGP & OSPF routing

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Hands-on experience on Next Generation Firewall Palo alto
• Excellent knowledge in building S2S VPN Tunnels including all type of NAT requirements
• Excellent knowledge on troubleshooting by analyzing the Firewall logs, capturing tcpdump/pcap, applying Firewall policies and clean-up as per requirement
• Excellent knowledge on IPS, IDS, URL filtering, Application filtering/controls
• Awareness on Network routing protocols like BGP & OSPF
• Knowledge of Prisma and SCM

Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience Settings:

• Bachelors Degree/College Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience Experience: 4-7 Years in Palo Alto

Technical skills:

• Expert level knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls including advanced troubleshooting. Must have Palo Alto Certification.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN and network protocols.
• Knowledge of Site to Site and Remote access tunnel.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick resolution to issues.
• Advanced level skill in firewall policy management.
• Ability to manage support cases with external technology vendors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyze and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management.
• Sensitivity and cultural awareness are essential as the role will involve contact with a variety of people around the globe.
• Discipline and experience in recognizing and handling confidential and sensitive information.
