Job description

Packaging Designer – D2C / Wellness Brand (On-site, Noida)

📍 Location: G-118, Sector-63, Noida (On-site only)

🕒 Experience: 2–4 years (Packaging-focused)

🏢 Brand: DIRTS (under Apex Advertisers)

About DIRTS

DIRTS is a fast-growing D2C wellness and lifestyle brand under Apex Advertisers, known for creating innovative products like Foot Alignment Socks, Barefoot Socks, TENS Massagers, Winter Socks, Gloves, and more.

We sell across our own website and marketplaces, so packaging isn’t just a box – it’s the first touchpoint of the brand. We’re now looking for a dedicated Packaging Designer who can own our product packaging end-to-end with minimal hand-holding.

Role Overview

This role is for someone who lives and breathes packaging design, not just social media posts.

You’ll be responsible for turning product ideas into print-ready, premium-looking boxes, sleeves, labels and inserts that are clear, conversion-focused and aligned with our brand.

  • Working from a rough brief and turning it into a sharp concept
  • Doing deep research on the product, category and competitors before designing
  • Managing dielines, print specs and vendor readiness
  • Designing for both online listing images and offline unboxing experience

Experience with AI tools (for mockups, concept exploration, layout variations, etc.) is a big plus.

What You’ll Do
  1. 1️⃣ Research & Strategy (Very Important)
    • Study competitor packaging (India + international) in wellness / D2C categories.
    • Analyse Amazon / marketplace listings to understand what kind of packaging stands out on thumbnails and PDPs.
    • Understand the target audience, key benefits, pain points and claims before starting the design.
    • Suggest copy direction, icon ideas and information hierarchy based on your research.
  2. 2️⃣ Packaging Design & Layout
    • Design boxes, sleeves, labels, stickers, inserts, thank-you cards, combo packs, etc. for multiple SKUs.
    • Create front, back and side panel layouts with clear hierarchy – benefits, usage, ingredients/details, claims, certifications, icons, etc.
    • Ensure designs are print-ready with proper dieleds, margins, and fold marks.
  3. 3️⃣ Print & Production Readiness
    • Prepare final artwork in CMYK with correct resolution and export settings.
    • Coordinate with printers/vendors for proof checks, color corrections and minor adjustments.
    • Suggest suitable finishes and materials (matte, gloss, foiling, embossing, spot UV, etc.) based on budget and use-case.
  4. 4️⃣ Brand & Visual Consistency
    • Maintain a consistent visual language across all product lines while giving each SKU its own identity.
    • Work closely with the founder/marketing team to align packaging with positioning, target audience and USPs.
    • Create 3D mockups / presentation visuals for internal approvals and marketplace listings.
  5. 5️⃣ AI & Smart Workflows (Plus Point)
    • Use AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, mockup generators, layout suggestion tools, etc.) to:
      • Explore faster concept variations
      • Generate moodboards or visual directions
      • Speed up mockups and presentation-ready visuals
      • Continuously experiment with smarter, faster ways of working while keeping final control in Illustrator/Photoshop.
Tools You Should Know
  • Must-have: Adobe Illustrator
  • Good to have: Adobe Photoshop, any 3D/mockup tools
  • Bonus: Comfort with AI design tools / prompt-based exploration
You’re a Great Fit If You…
  • Have 2–4 years of experience as a Packaging Designer (D2C / FMCG / Beauty / Wellness / Food / Pharma preferred).
  • Can show strong packaging work in your portfolio – not just social media posts.
  • Naturally do research before designing – you enjoy checking competitors, reading product pages / reviews, and understanding the category.
  • Understand basics of print production (CMYK vs RGB, bleeds, margins, dielines).
  • Can handle a project from rough idea → research → concept → iterations → print-ready files without continuous spoon-feeding.
  • Are comfortable working on-site at G-118, Sector-63, Noida with the core team.
  • Can clearly explain your design thinking — why this layout, copy hierarchy, color, icon, etc.
  • Are organised, reliable, and can manage multiple SKUs and revisions at a time.
Why Work With DIRTS
  • Your work will be seen, touched and unboxed by thousands of customers monthly.
  • Founder and core marketing team on real products, not just concepts.
  • Chance to shape the visual identity of a growing D2C wellness brand.
  • Freedom to experiment with AI and new tools, as long as the output is sharp and on-brand.
