Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a SAP GTS Package Consultant to guide business stakeholders through design and functional implementation of SAP Global Trade Services aimed at compliant, efficient cross-border trade operations. You will lead workshops, define end-to-end processes, and ensure tight integration with S/4HANA and other systems.

Preferred candidates hold a Master’s Degree and have hands-on experience in trade compliance design, GTS configuration, data migration, and testing across unit,

Qualifications

• SAP GTS experience with SAP HANA edition and cross-border trade operations.
• Experience designing scalable trade compliance processes including sanctioned-party screening and license determination.
• Ability to configure GTS objects for integration with S/4HANA and other systems.
• Experience driving test strategies (unit/SIT/UAT) for SAP implementations.
• Experience with data migration, including business partner and classification data.

Responsibilities

• Translate trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs.
• Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and define end-to-end process flows across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Package Consultant for SAP HANA SCM GTS, you will guide business stakeholders through the design and functional implementation of SAP Global Trade Services to enable compliant and efficient cross-border trade operations. This role involves delivering solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve this goal.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Process Design: Translating trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs covering sanctioned-party screening, embargo/legal control, and license determination.
• Implementation Leadership: Leading Fit-to-Standard workshops and defining end-to-end process flows across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay.
• Configuration Management: Configuring GTS objects, such as legal regulations, control classes, and business partners, to ensure robust integration with S/4HANA and other systems.
• Test Strategy: Driving test strategy, including unit, SIT, and UAT, to ensure the solution meets the requirements.
• Data Migration: Managing data migration, including business partner and classification data, to support the implementation.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• SAP GTS Expertise: Exposure to SAP Global Trade Services, edition for SAP HANA, with knowledge of its application in enabling compliant and efficient cross-border trade operations.
• Process Design Experience: Experience working with trade compliance and customs requirements to design scalable process flows, including sanctioned-party screening and license determination.
• Configuration Skills: Ability to configure GTS objects, such as legal regulations and control classes, to ensure integration with S/4HANA and other systems.
• Test Strategy Development: Exposure to driving test strategies, including unit, SIT, and UAT, to ensure solution requirements are met.
• Data Migration Knowledge: Experience with data migration, including business partner and classification data, to support implementation and integration with external systems.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Technical Integration Skills: Exposure to integrating SAP GTS with S/4HANA, EWM/TM, and external customs brokers/content providers.
• Data Analysis Knowledge: Experience with data migration and management, including business partner and classification data.
• Test Automation Tools: Familiarity with tools for automating unit, SIT, and UAT testing to ensure solution requirements are met.
