Job summary

Point72 is seeking a P&L Reconciliation and Analysis Analyst to support global portfolios across equities, derivatives, and other asset classes. You will reconcile P&L between front-office and back-office systems, investigate breaks with Middle Office and Valuations teams, and produce daily variance reports for stakeholders.

The role emphasizes analyzing P&L data, finalizing PM P&L in front-office systems, and driving automation to improve speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Finance/business/economics/mathematics or related background required.
• 3+ years experience in product control or operations at a hedge fund or investment bank.
• Knowledge of financial instruments - equity and derivatives.
• Previous experience with business intelligence tools or process automation.
• Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with strong communication skills.
• Previous experience with Alteryx, Python, AI or related tools.
• High attention to detail aimed at delivering best-in-class standards.

• Produce clear, accurate daily P&L variance reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Finalize portfolio manager P&L in our front-office systems based on thorough variance checks and analyses to influence investment decisions and statements.
• Respond to P&L inquiries from portfolio managers, traders, and investment services colleagues with fast, insightful answers.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, control, speed, and efficiency in P&L reconciliation analysis.

Point72's Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform regular P&L reconciliations between front-office and back-office systems for the firm's global portfolios.
• Partner with Middle Office, Back Office, and Valuations teams to investigate and resolve P&L breaks across all asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
