The role in one line
You build and run the outreach engine you find the right people, reach them by email and LinkedIn, start the conversation, handle objection and keep every lead moving until it becomes a customer.
What you will own
1. Outbound outreach to pharmacy chains
- Build and maintain prospect lists of Corporations and Banners, with the right decision-makers at each.
- Reach them by cold email and LinkedIn direct message (DM).
- Run full multi-touch cadences. Follow the sequence through, even when there is no reply for weeks.
- Handle objections by email and DM (for example: "we already use another platform", "we do this internally", "we don't have budget").
- Book meetings and hand them to the Sales Manager or the Founder for the call.
2. Inbound lead response
- Every lead from social media, the blog, the website and the waitlist comes to you first.
- You respond by email, fast, and find out whether they are a fit.
- The sales team makes the phone calls. You keep the email thread alive around those calls.
- No lead sits unanswered. This is the single most important habit in the role.
3. Professional supply and partnerships
- Reach out to pharmacy schools and college programs (Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Assistant programs) to build partnerships.
- Email students, interns and new graduates and get them to sign up on the app.
- Qualify which schools and organisations are a good fit for a partnership with Relief Guru, then set up the call for the Founder and Sales Manager.
- Build a list of experienced Pharmacists who could act as mentors, reach out, and recruit them onto the mentorship portal.
- Find and reach out to relevant industry influencers and convince them to work with us.
4. CRM and tracking
- We will set up the CRM. You keep it clean and accurate that is your responsibility, every day.
- Every lead, from every channel, gets entered and updated. Nothing lives in your inbox only.
- Track email opens and replies, LinkedIn DMs, calls made by the sales team, and app sign-ups, so we always know where a lead came from and what stage it is at.
5. Campaigns and analytics
- Own our email campaigns end to end: build them, send them, monitor them.
- Report on what is working and what is not — by channel, by message, by segment.
- Bring that back to the Founder and sales team every week so we can change what is not working.
6. Nurture and follow-up
- Own the follow-up on every lead until it becomes a customer or is clearly disqualified.
- Build a nurture track for people who are interested but not ready yet. Most of our future customers will come from this group.
- Chase no-shows and reschedules.
7. Build the system, not just the activity
- Document the outreach system: sequences, templates, timing, rules.
- Improve it as you learn.
- Give the Founder and sales team honest feedback on what the market is telling you — the objections you hear, the messages that land, the segments that ignore us.
- Work with the Sales Manager so email, LinkedIn and phone hit the same account in a coordinated way, not at random.

- What we are looking for
Must have
- 3+ years in outbound sales development, business development, growth, or lead generation — ideally business-to-business (B2B) software.
- Strong written English. You will be judged on your emails and dms more than anything else.
- Proven experience writing cold email and LinkedIn messages that get replies.
- Comfortable with a CRM and disciplined about keeping records up to date.
- Able to work independently, plan your own week, and stay consistent when nobody is checking.
Nice to have
- Experience selling into healthcare, pharmacy, or staffing.
- Experience with email sequencing tools (saleshandy) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Basic understanding of email deliverability (domain setup, warm-up, bounce rates).
- Familiarity with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Not required
You do not need to know the Canadian pharmacy market before you start. We will train you on it.
Tools you will work with
CRM (HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email sequencing software-saleshandy, Google Workspace,Calendly.
Non-negotiables
- CASL compliance. All commercial email we send in Canada must follow the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation. Every message must identify us, include our mailing address, and include a working unsubscribe link that is honoured quickly. You will be trained on this and are expected to follow it exactly.
- Approved messaging only. Our claims about pricing, fill rates and savings are fixed. You work from the approved messaging library. You do not invent new claims.
- Send from the correct domain. Cold outreach goes out from our designated outreach domain, never our main company domain.
Compensation
25,000 to 35000 plus performance bonus tied to qualified meetings and sign-ups.
