Persistent Systems in Bengaluru (Hybrid) seeks a Solution Architect with deep OTT/media platform expertise to design scalable cloud-native streaming solutions and lead architecture across full-stack applications and microservices.

You will drive content ingestion, DRM, monetization, and CDN delivery, while guiding cross-functional teams and AI-enabled engineering practices to modernize platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture and full-stack development across enterprise platforms.
• Deep domain expertise in Media/OTT platforms including content ingestion, entitlement services, playback workflows, and monetization models.
• Strong knowledge of HLS/MPEG-DASH, ABR streaming, and multi-device OTT ecosystems.
• Proven experience designing cloud-native architectures on AWS/Azure, with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Excellent leadership, governance, and stakeholder management skills.

We are seeking a Solution Architect with deep expertise in Media & OTT platforms to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native streaming solutions. The role involves leading architecture initiatives across full-stack applications, video streaming, and microservices-based ecosystems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, AI-enabled engineering practices, and platform modernization. This position requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for building exceptional digital media experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable full-stack applications using React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL services.
• Define and implement end-to-end solution architectures, ensuring high performance, scalability, security, and maintainability across enterprise platforms.
• Drive the design and optimization of OTT/Media platforms, including content ingestion, metadata management, entitlement, subscription management, playback workflows, monetization strategies, DRM integration, and CDN delivery.
• Architect and enhance video streaming solutions leveraging HLS, MPEG-DASH, Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) streaming, and multi-device OTT ecosystems including Roku, Smart TVs, Android TV, Apple TV, Web, and Mobile platforms.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS and Azure, utilizing Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures, and highly available distributed systems.
• Establish observability frameworks including monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance management to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
• Champion AI-enabled software engineering practices by leveraging GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, automated code generation, intelligent testing acceleration, and AI-powered platform capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance through design reviews, technology evaluations, coding standards, and best-practice recommendations.
• Mentor engineering teams, drive technical excellence, and support career development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technology solutions.
• Lead architecture discussions, solution reviews, risk assessments, and technology roadmaps to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, performance, and operational standards across all platform and application implementations.
• Act as a trusted advisor for customers and executive stakeholders, presenting architectural solutions, implementation strategies, and technical recommendations.

Expertise You’ll Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture and full-stack application development, delivering scalable and high-performance enterprise solutions using React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
• Deep domain expertise in Media and OTT platforms with strong knowledge of content ingestion, metadata management, entitlement services, subscription lifecycle, playback workflows, DRM, CDN integration, and monetization models.
• Extensive understanding of video streaming technologies, including HLS, MPEG-DASH, Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) streaming, encoding workflows, and multi-platform OTT ecosystems across Roku, Smart TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Mobile, and Web.
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures on AWS and Azure, leveraging Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD automation, serverless services, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalability patterns, resilience engineering, observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and high-availability platform design.
• Hands-on expertise in AI-enabled software engineering, leveraging GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, intelligent code generation, test automation acceleration, and AI-powered product capabilities.
• Ability to drive architecture governance, solution design reviews, technology strategy, and engineering best practices across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of guiding engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, and driving successful project delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer engagement capabilities, with experience partnering with business leaders, product teams, and clients to define and deliver strategic technology solutions.
