Job summary
Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH is seeking an experienced OT Network Specialist in Pune, India. You will join the central Operations Applications & Infrastructure team with 10+ years of experience to develop, monitor, configure, maintain and support the OT network infrastructure.
Daily operations run 24/5 with the Sweden team; you will mentor others and drive secure, scalable networking across our OT landscape. You will work on Cisco switches and firewalls, Rockwell devices, and automation via
Qualifications
- Graduate preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- CCNA or CCNP certification required.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and curiosity.
- Proficient in Cisco and Ansible with networking expertise.
- Experience with ICS/OT networks and IEC 62443 standards.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF).
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
- ITIL experience or mindset is a plus.

- Configure, install and integrate Cisco switches and Cisco Firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and integrity across OT networks.
- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade networks using Ansible.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, implement security measures, optimize performance.
- Mentor team members and share technical knowledge.
- Communicate with users and stakeholders when needed.
- Suggest improvements for performance, capacity and scalability.
- Contribute to development tasks within the central Agile team.

We are looking for a new member for our central Operations Applications & Infrastructure team as “OT Network Specialist” with 10+ years of experience, to play a crucial role in developing, monitoring, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Alfa Laval’s OT Network Infrastructure. You will work with daily operations, development, lifecycle management, maintenance, and support, 24/5, together with the team in Sweden. We are looking for someone with excellent problem‑solving skills and keen technical interest, driven and self‑motivated to find creative solutions to complex problems, and interested in mentoring and training others. You should have relevant and significant experience from similar roles in other global companies.

- Configure, install and integrate Cisco Network Switches (Cisco 9500, 9300, 9200), Cisco Firewalls (FPR1120)
- Rockwell Switches (Stratix 5400, 5700, 5800) and other network devices
- Monitor network performance and integrity
- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade company’s networks using – among other tool - Ansible management platform
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing network performance
- Handle day to day LAN Connectivity
- Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting global and local infrastructure
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Mentor team members on technical issues
- Communicate with users when needed
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
- Contribute on development tasks as a part of the central Agile team
- Graduate preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- CCNA or CCNP certification
- Excellent Communication Skills i.e. Communication, collaboration, and curiosity is a must
- Proficient in Cisco and Ansible
- Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Operational Technology (OT) networks, and micro‑segmentation
- Familiarity with IEC 62443 standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS)
- In‑depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
- Sharp troubleshooting skills
- Willingness and eagerness to learn new systems/technology
- Great at organizing, mentoring, prioritizing and multitasking
- Experience with ITIL
- Industry‑related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- Cisco Firewall and FMC knowledge is preferred
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Solid understanding of network management (Cisco IOS)
- Experience with managing equipment through Ansible
- Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Graduate preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Proxy servers (Squid proxy, IIS reverse proxy) and Claroty “Secure Remote Access” is an advantage
Location: Pune
Working time: 24*7 shifts on rotation basis
Working Days: 5 days a week (3days WFO, 2 days WFH)
