Job summary

Opella in Hyderabad is hiring an OT Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and oversee cybersecurity for manufacturing OT environments. You will collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations to protect industrial control systems and critical assets from cyber threats.

The role requires 10+ years in IT/security with 7+ years in OT/industrial security, deep knowledge of SCADA protocols, and relevant certifications (CISSP, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Overall 10+ years of experience with 7+ years in cybersecurity, focusing on OT/industrial systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial protocols and SCADA architectures and OT security frameworks (Purdue model).
• Certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443.
• Experience with Github and SAP systems is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Role Overview And Key Responsibilities

The OT Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing robust cybersecurity solutions within Manufacturing and Supply [Operational Technology (OT)] environments. This role ensures the protection of industrial control systems, networks, and other critical infrastructure components from cyber threats. The architect collaborates with engineering, IT, and operations teams to assess risks, develop security strategies, and enforce compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OT cybersecurity architectures and frameworks tailored to industrial environments.


• Design and implement security controls such as network segmentation, access management, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard OT assets.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into operational projects and processes.


• Continuously monitor emerging threats, assess new technologies, and recommend improvements to existing security measures.


• Provide expert guidance for incident response and recovery in the event of OT security breaches.


• Conduct regular assessments of OT environments to verify the effectiveness of security controls and compliance with regulatory standards.


• Participate in the development and review of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation specific to the OT environment.


• Oversee secure system integration and lifecycle management of industrial assets, from installation through decommissioning.


• Evaluate security architecture for business solutions hosted within the OT environment.

About you
