Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Surat, India, invites applications for a procurement professional responsible for initiating purchases based on requirements and coordinating with multiple internal departments. You will discuss commercial offers, prepare POs, register vendors, and manage material movement for manufacturing needs.

The role requires strong coordination skills with QC, Stores, Logistics, and Planning, with emphasis on timely expediting and GST compliance. This is an on-site position in Gujarat.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing purchase orders and vendor negotiation.
• Familiarity with vendor registration and GST compliance.
• Ability to coordinate with QC, Stores, Logistics and Planning departments.

Responsibilities

• To initiate action for purchasing based on requirement.
• To discuss and influence for receiving commercial offer.
• To prepare Purchase orders based on final decision from OSD lead and QTS.
• To perform Vendor Registration Process
• Preparation of gate pass, Picklist for raw material withdrawal from store, transport request
• Raw material movement for vendors as per PO for manufacturing
• Need to develop new Vendors for boiler attachment and NPP manufacturing
• Coordinate with QC, F&A, Stores, Logistics, Planning, inventory control
• Needs to do Expediting with vendor for timely delivery
• Raw Material Accounting/Reconciliation for Outsource manufacturing components
• GST compliance from vendor
• Follow up for transportation and timely quality inspection
• Coordination of safety induction training for subcontract labor
