Responsibilities
Assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
Participate in pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, and post-operative care for orthopedic procedures.
Support senior surgeons in trauma surgeries, including fracture fixation, complex limb salvage, and emergency stabilization.
Perform and assist in arthroscopic procedures (knee, shoulder, hip) for joint injuries and degenerative conditions.
Aid in joint replacement surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder) including implant selection, alignment, and post‑op rehabilitation planning.
Contribute to the management of spine-related pathologies, including deformity correction, spinal fusion, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, including ligamentous and cartilaginous injuries.
Support pediatric orthopedic care, including congenital deformities, limb length discrepancies, and growth plate injuries.
Participate in the management of bone tumors, including biopsy, surgical excision, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
Provide care for hand and foot & ankle conditions, including fractures, tendon injuries, and reconstructive procedures.
Manage osteoporosis-related fractures and implement preventive strategies in high-risk patients.
Maintain accurate medical records, document procedures, and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Engage in on‑call duties and emergency response for orthopedic trauma cases.
Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
Requirements
MBBS degree with a strong academic record and completion of internship.
Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent).
Completion of or current enrollment in a recognized postgraduate program in Orthopedic Surgery (Diplomate of National Board – DNB Ortho or MS Ortho).
Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in all core orthopedic subspecialties listed.
Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
Strong clinical reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in emergency settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
Willingness to work in a fast‑paced hospital environment with rotating shifts and on‑call responsibilities.
