Job summary

HDFC Bank is seeking a seasoned professional to lead organization-wide digital risk initiatives, leveraging strong technical knowledge and business sense to identify and mitigate risks across the technology and digital landscape.

You will collaborate with IT, Digital, ISG and business stakeholders to ensure risk management oversight, develop mitigation plans, and guide partner diligence and regulatory alignment within the IT and Digital Risk framework.

Qualifications

• 3 - 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of digital products and services enabled by Cloud, mobile, social and big data, etc.
• Strong exposure to risk management of third party technology in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning etc.
• Exposure to risk in various facets of the banking business
• Strong exposure to local and global regulatory guidelines

Responsibilities

• Leads key organization-wide digital risk initiatives, and identify risks, through having a strong technical knowledge, well-rounded business sense and effective collaboration.
• Collaborates closely with IT, Digital, ISG and business stakeholders in the execution of key initiatives to minimize technology and digital risks across the organization.
• Provides support and direction to ensure appropriate risk management oversight occurs for technology and digital risk activities.
• Assist the respective business teams in finalizing an appropriate risk mitigation plan and track the compliance
• Plays a key advisory role, providing guidance, direction and effective teaming with the IT, Digital and ISG teams on technical practices and initiatives.
• Supports, guides, and advises key business stakeholders throughout the organization with respect to digital risk.
• Collaborates and builds effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Leads special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Custodian of the IT & Digital Risk Management Policies and processes
• Ensures timely review of the policies and processes defined
• Oversee the activities of the department so the approved policies and procedures are followed
• Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) input for new initiatives and ensures alignment with the IT & Digital Risk framework, policies, and relevant regulatory compliance.
• Implements a process (in collaboration with IT and ISG) where key digital risk, security and technology metrics (KRI's, KPI's) are identified, analyzed for trends, monitored and reported to the required committee.
• Gain understanding of the process being outsourced and identify the risks
• Participate in Partner diligence to identify the risk areas
• Validate the on-boarding process and the subsequent journey of the partner
• Participate in periodic diligence of the partner as per the IT& Digital Risk management framework
• Keep a track of the regulatory changes, mandates and updates
• Coordinate with the relevant departments, functions to identify the regulatory requirements and the compliance requirements
• As required identify the updates required in the IT & Digital Risk management framework to incorporate updates based on regulatory requirements
