Roles and Responsibilities

Position Title: Network Engineer Job Stage 4

Mandatory Skills: Layer 2 and Layer 3 Routing Protocols, IP solutions for 2G / 3G / 4G.

Experience: 4-5 years

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Noida

Gender: Both female and male candidates

Key Responsibilities:

1. 4-5 years of relevant industry experience with deployment & troubleshooting experience in IP networks.
2. Good hands-on experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Routing Protocols.
3. Knowledge of IP solutions for 2G / 3G / 4G.
4. Good understanding of routing and VPN technology (OSPF, BGP, MPLS & L2/L3 VPN).
5. Configuration troubleshooting experience.
6. Experience in integration of new nodes in the network.
7. Associate IP Certification (CCNA, JNCIA, ETCP-IPN).
8. Good communication skills for interaction with onsite engineers/field technicians.
9. Knowledge of OSI Reference Model, TCP/IP network addressing, and IP sub-netting (VLSM & FLSM).
10. Installation and configuration of Cisco routers and switches.
11. Cisco devices IOS upgradation and password recovery.
12. WAN technologies and WAN interface configuration.
13. Static and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, RIP).
14. IPv4 address planning and subnetting.
15. Configuring, verifying & troubleshooting the routing protocols like RIPv1, RIPv2, OSPF, and EIGRP.
16. Configuring, verifying & troubleshooting standard ACL & extended ACL.
17. Switching concepts: VLAN, VTP & STP.
