Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced OIC/SOA Developer in Bengaluru to join its consulting team. You will apply expert knowledge of OIC development, ODI-based data mapping, SQL optimization, and scripting (Shell/Python) to deliver robust solutions.

You will work across project phases, evaluate alternatives, build POCs, and translate business needs into detailed functional designs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to SDLC are essential.

Qualifications

• Expertise in OIC development and deployment with various connectors/adapters.
• Proficient in ODI-based data mapping and transformation techniques.
• Strong SQL writing and optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Support consulting teams across project phases: problem definition, estimation, diagnosis, solution design.
• Explore alternatives to recommended solutions and build POCs.
• Create requirement specifications and detailed functional designs.
• Assist in configuring solutions, diagnose issues, and shortlist alternatives.
• Contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives with value delivering solutions.

OIC/SOA Developer

Expert-level understanding of:

• OIC development and deployment using various connectors and adapters.
• Data mapping and transformation techniques using tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Writing complex SQL queries and optimization techniques.
• Scripting languages like Shell or Python (preferred).

Strong understanding of:

• Cloud-based deployment and DevOps practices for OIC.
• REST/SOAP web services development and protocols.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Software design principles and architecture concepts.
• Version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with other Oracle Middleware technologies.
• Experience with API design and management principles.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.

A day in the life of an Infoscion

• As part of the Infosys consulting team, your primary role would be to actively aid the consulting team in different phases of the project including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation and design and deployment
• You will explore the alternatives to the recommended solutions based on research that includes literature surveys, information available in public domains, vendor evaluation information, etc. and build POCs
• You will create requirement specifications from the business needs, define the to-be-processes and detailed functional designs based on requirements.
• You will support configuring solution requirements on the products; understand if any issues, diagnose the root-cause of such issues, seek clarifications, and then identify and shortlist solution alternatives
• You will also contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high quality value adding solutions to customers.
