Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Consultant in Hyderabad, India. You will design, develop, and support RICEW components across modules, collaborating with functional teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with PL/SQL, XML Publisher/BI Publisher, and EBS upgrades, with strong client-facing communication. You will contribute to AIM/OUM documentation and participate in upgrades and patches as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Oracle EBS technical development experience.
• Hands-on with RICEW components and modules like Financials, SCM, or Manufacturing.
• Experience with AIM/OUM documentation is a plus.
• Great communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RICEW objects per spec.
• Develop reports using Oracle Reports and BI Publisher.
• Build inbound/outbound interfaces using PL/SQL and Oracle APIs.
• Handle data conversions and migrations during implementations.
• Customize EBS using Forms Personalization and OAF extensions.
• Configure Oracle Workflow Builder processes and notifications.
• Write and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Support testing cycles and defect resolution; create test scripts.
• Prepare technical design documents (MD50/MD70) and collaborate with teams.
• Provide production support and performance tuning; assist upgrades.

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflow) components. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support custom solutions across Oracle EBS modules, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RICEW objects Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows — based on functional specifications
• Develop and customize reports using Oracle Reports, XML Publisher (BI Publisher)
• Build and maintain inbound/outbound interfaces using PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, and Oracle APIs
• Handle data conversions/migrations during implementations and upgrades
• Customize and extend standard EBS functionality (Forms Personalization, OAF/ADF extensions)
• Design and configure Oracle Workflow Builder processes and notifications
• Write and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
• Perform unit testing, SIT/UAT support, and defect resolution
• Prepare and maintain technical design documents (MD50/MD70) and unit test scripts
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs
• Provide production support, performance tuning, and issue resolution
• Participate in EBS upgrade/patch application activities as needed

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Oracle EBS technical development (R12 / EBS 12.1/12.2)
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL, SQL
• Hands-on experience with RICEW components:
• Reports: XML/BI Publisher
• Interfaces: Standard EBS APIs, Open Interfaces, Concurrent Programs
• Conversions: Data loading via SQL*Loader, APIs, FNDLOAD
• Extensions: Forms Personalization, OAF customizations
• Workflow: Oracle Workflow Builder, Business Events, Notifications
• Experience with one or more EBS modules: Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM), SCM (INV, PO, OM), or Manufacturing
• Working knowledge of Oracle Application Object Library (AOL) — Concurrent Programs, Value Sets, Profile Options, Menus
• Understanding of TCA (Trading Community Architecture) is a plus
• Experience with AIM/OUM methodology documentation (MD50, MD70, CV40, TE20)
• Good communication and client-facing skills

Should have hands on experience with independent role. Actively co-ordinate with internal and client IT/business teams for day to day activities.
