Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to manage and optimize Oracle databases across 9i/10g/11g/12c. You will handle security, backup, reporting, and recovery, and perform instance creation and upgrades.

Responsibilities include ASM/RAC builds, L3 troubleshooting, performance tuning, scripting, and mentoring junior engineers. OCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Oracle DBA experience with 9i/10g/11g/12c.
• Handle security, backup, reporting and recovery.
• Create, build and upgrade Oracle databases.
• Manage ASM/RAC database builds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance to the team.
• Knowledge of SQL DB is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Oracle Server databases including security, backup, reporting, and recovery procedures.
• Core Oracle DBA activities for Oracle 9i/10G/11g & 12c including error diagnosis and handling.
• Create, Build, and up-gradation of Instances and databases.
• Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC.
• Manage and troubleshoot the L3 tasks independently.
• Performance tuning, Scripting knowledge.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship.
• Database security patch application.
• Troubleshooting DB – Crash.
• Rebuild Database due to Incident.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
• Cross-training to support SQL in terms of maintenance of physical database structures and associated hardware, network, and system configurations.
• Provides hands-on technical expertise, provides senior-level technical guidance to team members. Knowledge of SQL DB is preferable.
