Job summary

NTT DATA in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team. The role covers installation, configuration, patching and ongoing maintenance of Oracle databases across multiple versions, with emphasis on RAC, ASM, and OEM tools.

You will monitor performance, ensure backups, DR planning, and collaborate with developers to optimize SQL and application access. You will contribute to automation using Python, Shell scripting and PowerShell, and participate in on-call

Qualifications

• Oracle Database administration across 11g/12c/19c/21c with RAC/ASM.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, storage, and capacity.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents, alerts, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform database cloning, migration, refresh, and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain database security, user access, roles, and privileges.
• Review and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans.
• Automate routine DBA activities using Shell Scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
• Support development, testing, and production environments.
• Work closely with application teams to troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in on-call production support and critical incident management.
