Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Architect to lead DBA teams and drive OCI-based modernization of Oracle EBS workloads. You will shape technical architecture, performance optimizations, and migration strategies across on-premise and OCI environments.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in distributed applications, hands-on Linux/Solaris administration, and proven ability to present to executives about platform benefits and strategic value.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience architecting, designing, implementing or supporting distributed applications.
• Extensive experience with at least one public cloud (Oracle/AWS/Azure/Google).
• Technical lead for PoCs and Architectural Design Sessions to define complete solutions.
• System administration experience (Linux, Solaris).
• Cloud certifications (Oracle/AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) are a plus.
• Experience presenting to executive audiences and articulating platform benefits.

Responsibilities

• Work on bids, proposals, project reviews, solution blueprints and architectural solutioning.
• Oversee Oracle EBS database administration and OCI implementation; drive performance, scalability, availability improvements.
• Ensure database standards, cloud guidelines, and operational processes are followed across on-premise and OCI.
• Lead a high-performing DBA team; implement metrics, monitoring, incident response, change management, and capacity planning.
• Plan and support end-to-end migrations from on-prem to OCI, guiding design, execution and stabilization.
• Make technical decisions, design solutions, optimize environments, and support EBS and Oracle workloads.

Job description

• Work on Bids, proposals, project reviews, solution blueprints, technical architecture solutioning etc.
• Overseeing Oracle EBS database administration and OCI implementation, and identifying opportunities for performance, scalability, and availability improvements.
• Accountable for ensuring database standards, cloud architecture guidelines, and operational processes are followed across on premise and OCI environments.
• Manage a team of competent high performing DBA team and implement metrics, monitoring, and incident response processes as well as change management and capacity planning processes.
• Perform and support end to end database and application migrations from on premises environments to OCI, guiding teams through design, execution, and stabilization.
• Responsible for technical decision making, solution design, environment optimization, and supporting implementation activities for EBS and Oracle database workloads.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and/or supporting highly distributed applications
• Extensive experience working on at least one Public Cloud – Oracle/Azure/Google
• Technical lead for engagements such as Proof of Concepts and Architectural Design Sessions to define and design a complete solution using best practices on Oracle Cloud
• System administration experience (Linux, Solaris)
• Good to have Certified in Public Cloud – Oracle/AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Certified Architect Professional Technical
• Expertise in architecting best technical solutions based on customer requirement
• Experience giving presentations to executive audiences and explaining the benefits of the platform and service solution over competitors
