Job summary

Careernet in India is seeking a BRM Migration Lead with 12-20 years of industry experience. The role requires hands-on involvement across BRM migration components, data modeling, and modern data-conversion techniques.

You will design the migration strategy, validate data integrity, and drive cutover activities, including performance testing, parallel/dry runs, and post-migration analysis of invoices, events, and dunning. Travel willingness is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 12-20 years in BRM migration with hands-on capability.
• Strong data model knowledge, mapping, and migration strategy experience.
• Proficient in Java, PL/SQL, and BRM web services; able to script (Perl/Python).
• Experience with encryption handling and performance tuning during migration.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of data model and legacy data mapping.
• Strong in data conversion techniques and encrypted data handling.
• Hands on with data loading and integrating with North/South bound systems.
• Develop the Migration strategy and implementation plan.
• Must have worked as a BRM developer and hands-on in BRM to verify data migration.
• Strong in post data migration analysis: events/invoice/Open items/Bills & Dunning.
• Develop scripts to reconcile migrated data.
• Run parallel bill runs/Dry runs; manage downtime tests.
• Handle performance tests related to migration.
• Develop and drive cutover runbook.
• Produce migration reports with detailed analysis.
• Create reports using bursting queries and regular SQL.
• Strong knowledge on Kubernetes.
• Willingness to Travel.

Experience level:

• 12-20 years of industry experience working as BSS BRM/RODOD Migration Lead
• Hands on - Mandatory

Responsibilities:

• Working Knowledge of all the BRM Data migration components.
• Well verse with BRM 12 Schema.
• Strong understanding of Data model and Legacy data mapping.
• Strong in data conversion techniques and experience in handling the encrypted data
• Hands on with data loading and integrating with North/South bound systems.
• Able to develop the Migration strategy and implementation plan
• Must have worked as a BRM developer in their past and must be hands-on in BRM to verify the sanity of the Data migration - experience in development required and not support/operations work
• Strong in post data migration analysis, such as events/invoice/Open items/ Bills & Dunning.
• Able to develop scripts to reconcile the migrated data.
• Strong in running parallel bill runs/Dry runs.
• Must handle the performance tests related to migration to optimize the downtime.

Mandatory Skills:

• Ability to execute the data migration and validations.
• Ability to develop Migration strategy documents and techniques.
• Execute data integrity testing post migration.
• Strong programming skills and knowledge on Java technologies. Experience in C/C++, Oracle 12c/19c, PL / SQL, PCM Java, BRM Webservice, Scripting language (Perl/Python)
• Familiarity with Migration tools like CMT & Etc.
• Ability to develop and drive cutover runbook.
• Ability to produce the migration reports periodically with detail analysis of migrated data.
• Create reports using bursting queries and regular SQL queries
• Strong knowledge on Kubernetes.

Desirable Functional/Technical Skills:

• Domain knowledge on Pre-paid, Post-paid Billing areas for Broadband/Wireless Voice/SMS/Data service provider
• Good problem solving, troubleshooting & communication skills
• Knowledge on deploying Billing and Revenue Management on premise and/or cloud infrastructure
• Should have customer-facing skills and should be able to drive workshops with the customer using Oracle tools, technologies, products, and methodologies
• Should have experience working on waterfall or Agile/Scrum or iterative model projects and should be flexible to work on DevOps environment
• Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners
• Exposure working with cloud tools, technologies, and framework
• Basic understanding of the telecom domain (BSS and/or OSS) in particular the billing module
