Job summary

Sanmina in Chennai is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator 2 with 4 to 6 years of experience in Oracle Apps DBA for 11i and R12, managing databases 11g and 12c. The role requires strong monitoring, performance tuning, and production support.

You will handle very large, highly transactional Oracle databases, work with RAC, Data Guard, backups, install/upgrade tasks, and develop scripts for automation. Familiarity with ADPatch, Autoconfig, AD utilities, and Enterprise Manager is preferred.

Qualifications

• Oracle Apps DBA with 4–6 years of experience for 11i and R12.
• Experience on monitoring, performance tuning and production support.
• Experience with large, highly transactional Oracle databases.

Oracle Database Administrator 2

Duties of Position: (Include specific duties and responsibilities)

• 4 to 6yrs of experience in Oracle Apps Database Administration of 11i and R12 applications with Database 11g & 12c.
• Strong working experience in monitoring, performance tuning & production support
• Experience in managing very large, highly transactional, multiple RDBMS Oracle Databases.
• Expertise in all major versions of technology stack including Database, iAS, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic and JVM
• Should have experience on ADPatch, Autoconfig utility, AD utilities etc.
• Must have an experience in Database Installations & upgrades
• Hands on experience in ASM & Data Guard
• Hands on experience in database backups & Data Guard
• Develop scripts for database task scheduling, monitoring and maintenance.
• Knowledge in RAC will be an advantage
• Readiness to work in shifts and Weekend On call support
• Good communication skills to interact with Customers
