KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including visual acuity, refraction and colour vision testing.
• Screen commercial and private truck drivers through eye screening camps within a 30 km operational radius.
• Identify common eye conditions and refer cases requiring Ophthalmologist consultation.
• Prescribe spectacles and counsel patients on eye health, spectacle compliance and road safety.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control and quality standards.
• Operate, maintain and monitor optical and diagnostic equipment.
• Manage optical stock, consumables and diagnostic materials.
• Coordinate camp locations and schedules with the team.
• Maintain accurate patient records, prescriptions, referrals and camp reports in the software.
