The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. is seeking experienced retired pharmacists from Indian Railways for a Consultant/Pharmacist position. The role is temporary, with an initial duration of six months and opportunities for extension based on performance. Candidates will participate in a walk-in interview process, and remuneration is set at 50% of last pay drawn, plus other applicable allowances. Only those who meet specific eligibility criteria will be considered.
The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) is indeed a Schedule A Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Government of India’s Ministry of Railways. DFCCIL was established with the aim of constructing and operating high-capacity and high-speed rail freight corridors along the golden quadrilateral and its diagonals, which would contribute to the growth of the economy.
The project is being implemented in phases, and the first phase involves the construction of two dedicated freight corridors: the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (Mumbai-Delhi) and the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (Delhi-Kolkata). These corridors are designed to enhance the efficiency of freight transportation by providing a dedicated infrastructure for freight trains, separate from the existing passenger train network.
The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor spans from Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra to Dadri near Delhi, covering a distance of approximately 1,500 kilometers. The Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor stretches from Ludhiana in Punjab to Dankuni near Kolkata, covering a distance of around 1,800 kilometers. These corridors are aimed at reducing logistics costs, improving supply chain efficiency, and facilitating faster movement of goods across the country.
DPCCIL (Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited) is seeking experienced and result-oriented retired Pharmacists of Indian Railways for need-based re-engagement in DFCCIL/CO as Consultant/Pharmacists. They are inviting applications from retired Pharmacists of Indian Railways to form a need-based panel through a walk-in-interview. There is only one vacancy (01) available, and preference will be given to retired Pharmacists with experience of working in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The eligibility criteria for this position are as follows:
Duration : The selected candidates will be placed on the panel and initially engaged as Consultants for a period of six months. This engagement can be extended based on the requirements and performance of the retired employee, solely at the discretion of DFCCIL. In case of any premature termination, either party must provide one month’s notice.
Remuneration :The remuneration for the selected retired employees will be determined according to DFCCIL’s HR Policy, subject to revisions or amendments as applicable. The basic remuneration will be set at 50% of the last pay drawn by the candidate at the time of retirement from Railways, along with applicable CDA (Dearness Allowance) as per DFCCIL’s HR policy No. 28/2022 dated 22.07.2022. Conveyance allowance and mobile charges will also be provided based on the level of pay from which the employee retired. No other allowances will be paid apart from these.
Leave : Regarding leave, re-engaged personnel will be granted two days of leave for each completed month of their contract with DFCCIL. The leave provided will not have specific nomenclature like Casual Leave (CL) or Earned Leave (EL). Accumulated leave cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year.
Selection Process : The selection process for the Consultant/Pharmacist position will be through a walk-in-interview. This interview will be conducted on the specified date and location mentioned in the table provided. The reporting time for the interview will be from 10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs.
Walk in Interview: The walk-in-interview for the Consultant/Pharmacist position will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023. The venue for the interview is DFCCIL/Corporate Office, 5th Floor, Supreme Court Metro Station Building Complex, New Delhi – 110001.
Retired Pharmacists of Indian Railways who are interested in the position may report to the above-mentioned office for the walk-in-interview at the designated date and time specified in the table provided earlier (para-V). DFCCIL officials will verify the applications of retired Railway employees, and only those who fulfill the criteria mentioned in the advertisement and provide the necessary documents such as Service Certificate/PPO (as per 7th CPC) and other relevant documents (self-certified copies) will be allowed for the interview.
Candidates who are suffering from COVID-19 will be allowed to attend the interview.
If selected, the candidates will be issued an offer of appointment based on the requirements. They will have to undergo a medical examination or health check-up, and their re-employment will be considered only if they are found medically fit, in addition to meeting other criteria.
To apply for the Consultant/Pharmacist position, retired employees from Indian Railways who fulfill the eligibility criteria should follow the application process outlined below:
(i) Fill in the prescribed proforma: Retired employees should duly fill in the prescribed proforma, which will be provided to them. The proforma should be filled accurately and completely.
(ii) Enclose necessary documents: Along with the filled proforma, retired employees should enclose self-attested photocopies of the requisite documents, including:
(iii) Bring original documents for verification: Retired employees must bring the original Service Certificate/PPO and other documents mentioned above for verification during the interview. It is important to note that if any candidate fails to bring the required documents on the date of the interview, they will not be allowed to participate in the interview process.
(iv) Provide proof of identity and residence: Additionally, retired employees need to provide proof of identity and residence. This can be done through relevant documents such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or any other acceptable identification document.
(v) Include working experience: The application format or proforma may require retired employees to mention their working experience. It is important to provide accurate and complete information regarding their previous work experience.
In general, there are a few important points to note regarding the application process and other aspects of the Consultant/Pharmacist position:
(i) No travel allowance (TA), daily allowance (DA), or journey expenses will be provided to the retired employees for attending the interview. It is the responsibility of the retired Railway employees to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation in advance, ensuring they reach the interview venue on time.
(ii) Re-employment in DFCCIL does not guarantee regularization or permanent employment. The engagement as a Consultant/Pharmacist is for a specific period as mentioned in the advertisement and is subject to extension based on requirements and performance.
(iii) Any dispute or legal matter related to the re-employment process mentioned in this advertisement will be under the jurisdiction of the Court in Delhi only. This means that if there are any legal disputes or issues, they will be handled in the courts located in Delhi.
