Atos in India is seeking an experienced GIS Solution Architect to design and implement an enterprise-grade GIS platform, focusing on interactive maps, data readiness and future analytics.

The role requires ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise, integration with enterprise apps, data modeling and ETL with FME, and evaluation of Azure Maps/Mapbox. Locations include Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on GIS solution architecture experience.
Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise/Online/Pro.
Experience designing interactive web GIS / mapping apps.
Solid GIS architecture and data modeling knowledge.
Experience with FME or comparable GIS ETL tools.
Experience integrating GIS with enterprise apps and databases.
Ability to model spatial data and GIS analytics.
Willingness to evaluate ArcGIS alternatives like Azure Maps/Mapbox.

Responsibilities

Design the overall GIS solution architecture for interactive mapping and future spatial analytics.
Design GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Online / ArcGIS Experience Builder, evaluating Azure Maps and Mapbox.
Assess existing ArcGIS environments and enterprise datasets, services, APIs and geospatial layers.
Define the approach for data discovery, extraction, transformation, integration and migration from enterprise systems into the new GIS platform.
Design GIS data integration architecture using FME or equivalent GIS integration/ETL tools.
Work with enterprise architects and data teams to define integration patterns between GIS, enterprise applications, APIs and data platforms.
Define geospatial data models, feature classes, layers, relationships and spatial data structures for GIS apps and analytics.
Collaborate with analytics to translate analytical requirements into GIS data models and spatial analytical solutions.
Design architecture for future spatial analytics, location intelligence and GIS-based decision-support capabilities.
Assess the suitability of Microsoft Fabric / Data Lake / Lakehouse as the enterprise data platform for GIS and analytical workloads.
Define data flows between Fabric, GIS platforms, enterprise applications and analytical solutions.
Ensure GIS architecture supports scalability, security, performance, API integration and future expansion.
Provide technical guidance to GIS developers, data engineers, integration teams and analytical teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GIS Solution Architect / Geospatial Architect to support the design and implementation of an enterprise-grade GIS platform.

The architect will be responsible for designing the interactive mapping platform and future GIS analytics capabilities, integrating GIS with enterprise applications and existing geospatial platforms, and establishing a scalable geospatial data architecture. The role will initially focus on interactive maps, spatial data integration and data readiness, with the architecture designed to support future GIS analytics, spatial intelligence and location-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design the overall GIS solution architecture for interactive mapping and future spatial analytics capabilities.
Design GIS applications using platforms such as ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Online /ArcGIS Experience Builder, while evaluating/working with alternatives such as Azure Maps and Map box where appropriate.
Assess existing ArcGIS environments and enterprise applications to identify reusable datasets, services, APIs and geospatial layers.

Strong understanding of GIS architecture, spatial data architecture and GIS application components.
Strong experience with FME or equivalent GIS ETL/integration tools.
Experience integrating GIS with enterprise applications, APIs and databases.
Experience with GIS data modeling and spatial database concepts.
Experience defining GIS analytical / spatial analytics solutions.
Ability to evaluate and integrate geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS, Azure Maps, Mapbox or equivalent.
