Job summary

Hinduja Tech Limited is seeking a qualified engineer to lead end-to-end Battery Management Systems development for lithium-ion packs. The role emphasizes bridging hardware design with system integration, and ensuring safety and reliability for electric vehicle applications.

The candidate should have a strong background in analog/digital/power electronics, proficiency with PCB design tools, and experience with lab equipment such as BMS simulators and high-voltage testing gear.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in the design and development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) for lithium-ion battery packs.
• In-depth knowledge of Circuit Design, Analysis and Simulation with a strong background in analog, digital or power electronics.
• Proficiency in Simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools.
• Strong hold on lab equipment such as BMS simulator, HV power supply, DSO, DMM, and electronic load.
• Knowledge of battery characteristics, chemistry, charging algorithms, and safety considerations.
• Experience with battery cell balancing techniques and algorithms.
• Familiarity with ISO26262 and ISO21434 standards and automotive testing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Battery Management Systems for Li-ion battery packs.
• Bridge hardware design from low-level circuitry to high-level system integration.
• Coordinate safety, performance, and reliability validation for EV applications.
• Utilize simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools throughout development.
• Analyze battery performance data and iteratively improve BMS algorithms and hardware.

Mandatory :

Battery Management Systems experience end-to-end hardware development needs to bridge the gap between low-level circuit design and high-level system integration

Experience in rigorous safety, performance, and reliability standards required for EV .

Skill Set :

• Design knowledge of AFE, high-voltage & Cell monitoring, cell balancing, and isolation circuits.
• Experience in Unit Testing, System Validation
• EMI/EMC & Other compliance coordination

Job Requirements:

Skills:

• Strong understanding of electrical, electronics concepts as related to BMS systems.
• Understanding of electrochemical principles related to battery systems.
• Proficiency in battery simulation and analysis tools, such as pSpice, LTSPICE, PSIM, MATLAB or equivalent
• Experience with EDA tools, such as OrCAD, Cadence, Altium, PADS or equivalent
• Knowledge of safety and failure analysis techniques for battery systems, such as fault tree analysis (FTA) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
• Knowledge of ISO26262, and ISO21434
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles for electronics and battery systems
• Familiarity in Automotive industry testing tools, such as dSpace, VT Studio, NI LabView
• Familiarity in programming languages, such as C, C++, or Python, AUTOSAR for embedded systems and data analysis is preferred
