Job summary

Macleods Pharmaceuticals in Mumbai seeks an API Sourcing professional to support R&D with end-to-end procurement of APIs and excipients for US and EU markets, including injectable and topical lines. This role involves sourcing, supplier coordination, and documentation through development.

Ideal candidate has 1–4 years in purchase, with ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, process CDAs, and arrange supply agreements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have relevant experience in API Sourcing for R&D.
• Sourcing of API's and excipients for US & EU Market for Oral's & Topicals (End to end process of sourcing till development).
• Sourcing of Critical API's and Excipients for Injectable & Inhalation for US, EU, CA, ROW, WHO, Domestic, China (as per requirement) (End to end process of sourcing till Launch).
• To Support FTF projects in short lead time (end to end process till Launch).
• To arrange FOC samples required as per development need.
• To process CDA and keep track record for all raw materials.
• To arrange all supply agreements for API and key raw materials.
• To co-ordinate with internal and external stake holders.
• To obtain Regulatory query responses /documents.
• To perform benchmarking and keep tracker updated for NPL projects.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing APIs and excipients for multiple markets as part of end-to-end development.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely development and launch.
• Arrange samples, CDA documentation, and supply agreements as required.
• Track regulatory responses and maintain up-to-date project benchmarks.

Preferred candidate profile
