Job summary

Tech Mahindra is seeking a Hardware Repair Engineer to diagnose and repair electronic hardware, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve product reliability.

You will conduct tests, document results, and support field service with technical expertise while maintaining repair records and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Based in India, Gurugram area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• 2-8 years of experience in hardware repair, electronics troubleshooting, or manufacturing support.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, and component-level diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faulty hardware, electronic assemblies, and equipment.
• Perform component-level troubleshooting using schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis of hardware failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Execute functional, environmental, and reliability testing after repairs.
• Maintain repair records, failure reports, and technical documentation.
• Analyze recurring failure trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), validation, and repair process development.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and quality engineers on defect resolution.
• Manage repair tools, calibration equipment, and spare parts inventory.
