Job summary

Team Geek Solutions in Bengaluru is seeking an OpenWrt/embedded Linux engineer to develop and customize build systems for operator router distributions. You will build high-performance network stacks for Wi-Fi 6/7 and 5G-FWA routers, and implement device management standards for global operators.

You will design scalable Linux-based CPE systems, debug kernel panics and memory leaks, and collaborate closely with hardware and product teams to deliver carrier-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• IPv4/IPv6: Dual-stack, DHCPv4/v6, SLAAC, Prefix Delegation, MAP-T/E, DS-Lite
• L2/L3: Linux Bridge, VLAN 802.1Q/QinQ, SoC hardware offloading
• Routing: Multi-WAN, Failover, Policy-Based Routing, IGMP/MLD Snooping/Proxy
• Device Management: TR-181/TR-098 data models, USP/TR-369 experience
• Debugging: GDB, Valgrind, JTAG, Wireshark, Tcpdump
• System Design: Defining software interfaces & integrating cross-platform middleware

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on with Airoha SDKs & MediaTek WiFi drivers
• Familiarity with RDK-B, prplOS, prplLCM
• QoS/QoE: Traffic Shaping - tc, HTB, FQ_CoDEL, DPI, traffic classification for Gaming/VoIP
• Security: Firewall4/Nftables, Iptables, VPN - WireGuard, IPsec, hardware crypto-acceleration
