About the role

As an Opentext Webreports Developerat Orica, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality application solutions within our OpenText ecosystem. This role places a strong emphasis on thedevelopment and enhancement of OpenText WebReports, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs.

You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into innovative technical solutions, with a particular focus oncoding, configuring, and optimizing WebReportsto support enterprise-wide processes.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a technically proficient developer with a passion for building enterprise-grade solutions and a desire to contribute to Orica’s digital transformation journey.

What you will be doing

As an Applications Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of Orica’s digital transformation, responsible for:

• Designing and developing secure, scalable OpenText solutions.
• Maintaining and enhancing WebReports to support evolving business needs.
• Supporting the full application lifecycle—from feasibility to implementation.
• Ensuring compliance with IT governance, architecture, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Providing SME-level support to operational teams and driving continuous improvement.

What you will bring

• 5+ years in OpenText application development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText WebReports.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and software lifecycle management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with S/4HANA (good to have).
• Background in engineering, mining, or large-scale industrial environments(good to have).
