Job summary

Purview Services seeks an Engineer to join a team building and maintaining enterprise-grade solutions using open-source technologies. You will work with JSON data, design and implement scalable workflows, and contribute to open-source projects.

You will deploy and manage applications with Docker and Kubernetes, design PostgreSQL schemas, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, well-documented software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience developing large-scale technology solutions
• Strong programming skills in JSON, YAML, Python, Java, C/C++, Go or similar

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with open source technologies and in the area of workload or workflow automation and orchestration. .

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software using open-source technologies.
• Work extensively with JSON data structures for data interchange and storage.
• Develop and optimize open-source applications
• Build, deploy, and manage applications using containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Contribute to and maintain open-source projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the open-source community.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate open-source tools and libraries.
• Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with open-source controls.
• Write technical documentation and provide support for open-source solutions.
• Stay up to date with trends in open-source software and communities.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience developing large scale technology solutions.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., JSON, YAML, Python, Java, C/C++, Go, or similar).
• Experience working with JSON data formats (parsing, validation, transformation).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, queries, performance tuning).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Experience contributing to open-source projects (GitHub, GitLab, etc.).
• Familiarity with open-source licenses and compliance.
• Knowledge of software development best practices and CI/CD.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
