Job summary

BDO India is seeking an experienced OneStream Technical Consultant to join a global Finance Transformation program. The role centers on technical design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and stabilization of OneStream solutions covering Close, Reconciliations, Journals, Reporting, and ERP integrations.

You will work with SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards, and Microsoft Dynamics, design REST/flat-file interfaces, map data, support SIT/UAT, cutover, and hypercare, and collaborate with

Position: OneStream Technical Consultant

Location: Client Location as required

Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

Project Context

The consultant will support a global Finance Transformation program focused on extending the existing OneStream platform for Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. The role will primarily focus on the technical design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and stabilization of OneStream solutions covering Financial Close, Account Reconciliations, Journal Management, Transaction Matching, Financial Reporting, and integration with multiple ERP platforms.

Key Responsibilities

OneStream Technical Design & Implementation

• Design, configure, develop, and deploy OneStream solutions across Financial Close Management, Account Reconciliations, Journal Management, Transaction Matching, Financial Reporting, and Close Calendar/Workflow.
• Configure OneStream cubes, workflows, business rules, dashboards, reports, forms, and related technical components.
• Translate functional requirements and solution blueprints into technical configurations and solutions.
• Develop and maintain solution design documents, technical specifications, configuration documents, and technical runbooks.
• Support workflow automation, approval hierarchies, certification workflows, controls, and audit requirements.

Data Integration & Technical Delivery

• Design and implement integrations between OneStream and multiple ERP/source systems.
• Develop and support inbound and outbound interfaces using REST APIs, flat files, SFTP, and middleware/integration platforms.
• Work with source systems including SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, and other enterprise applications.
• Define data mappings, transformations, validations, and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Support Chart of Accounts, entity, hierarchy, master data, and other finance data mappings.
• Troubleshoot data integration, transformation, validation, and reconciliation issues.

Testing, Deployment & Support

• Prepare technical test scenarios and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Support deployment, cutover, production migration, and hypercare activities.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues during implementation and post-go-live support.
• Develop technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Provide technical support to client IT, Finance, ERP, and integration teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Finance SMEs, OneStream functional consultants, ERP SMEs, integration architects, data teams, and IT stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement workshops, technical design discussions, and solution reviews.
• Provide technical recommendations, risk assessments, and implementation updates.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience in OneStream implementation and configuration.
• Experience in at least one or more of the following OneStream areas: Financial Close, Account Reconciliations, Journal Management, Transaction Matching, Financial Reporting, and Workflow.
• Strong experience in OneStream data integration and technical development.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SFTP, flat-file integrations, and/or middleware platforms.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience in SIT, UAT, deployment, cutover, and hypercare.
• Ability to independently work with business and technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience delivering OneStream implementation projects is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• OneStream certification(s).
• Experience in global Finance Transformation programs.
• Experience with R2R / Financial Close transformation.
• Experience integrating OneStream with multiple ERP platforms.
• Experience in enterprise-scale OneStream implementations.
