Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Okta IGA/IAM Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) role. You will implement, configure, integrate, and support the Okta Identity Cloud and Okta Identity Governance (OIG) platform, emphasizing lifecycle management and identity automation.

You will collaborate with Solution Architects, guide junior engineers, and help promote configurations across Preview and Production environments.

Qualifications

• 710 years of relevant experience in IAM/IGA.
• Strong hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud.
• Strong experience with Okta Identity Governance (OIG).
• Hands-on experience with Okta Lifecycle Management.
• Extensive experience with Okta Workflows.

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer Okta Universal Directory, profiles, mappings, and Group Rules.
• Implement Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes.
• Configure authentication, sign-on, MFA, password and security policies.
• Design and maintain Okta Workflows for automation, notifications, approvals.
• Develop connectors using Java, Python, Okta SDKs, and REST APIs.
• Configure Okta Identity Governance capabilities: Access Requests, Resource Catalogs, Access Certifications, approvals.
• Integrate applications using SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM.
• Configure and manage Org2Org Federation and IdPs.
• Work with Event Hooks and Inline Hooks and external REST APIs.
• Participate in technical discussions, workshops, and solution reviews.
• Support promotion between Preview and Production environments.
• Perform unit/integration testing and SIT/UAT support.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Prepare technical docs, runbooks, KT documents.
• Support production deployment and hypercare handover.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Okta IGA/IAM Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) opportunity in Bengaluru.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, integrating, and supporting the Okta Identity Cloud and Okta Identity Governance (OIG) platform. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Okta, Okta Workflows, IAM, IGA, lifecycle management, application integrations, and identity automation.

The candidate will work closely with Solution Architects and project teams to implement scalable identity solutions and will also provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and administer Okta Universal Directory, user profile schemas, profile mappings, and Group Rules.
• Implement Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes.
• Configure authentication, sign‑on, MFA, password, and security policies.
• Design and maintain Okta Workflows for lifecycle automation, notifications, approvals, and operational processes.
• Develop reusable custom connectors using Java, Python, Okta SDKs, and REST APIs.
• Configure Okta Identity Governance (OIG) capabilities including:
• Access Requests
• Resource Catalogs
• Access Certifications
• Approval and Reviewer Chains
• Integrate enterprise applications using SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM.
• Configure and manage Org2Org Federation and Identity Providers (IdPs).
• Work with Event Hooks, Inline Hooks, and external REST APIs.
• Participate in technical discussions, discovery workshops, and solution reviews.
• Support configuration promotion between Preview and Production environments.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support SIT/UAT activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve implementation and integration issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation guides, operational runbooks, and KT documents.
• Support production deployment, Hypercare, and operational handover.
