Job summary

Globallogic is seeking an experienced Okta IAM Engineer to design and administer our Identity and Access Management platform in India. You will leverage Terraform for Okta automation, develop custom workflows, and integrate with enterprise SaaS apps to streamline identity provisioning.

The ideal candidate has 4–10+ years in IAM, strong Okta hands-on skills, and knowledge of SAML/OIDC/OAuth, SCIM, and LDAP/AD.

Qualifications

• 4–10+ years in Identity and Access Management.
• Hands-on Okta administration experience.
• Experience with SSO/MFA/Lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC and SCIM.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform) for Okta automation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Okta Identity Platform.
• Manage user lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, role changes.
• Configure authentication and authorization policies and RBAC.
• Manage MFA, password policies, adaptive authentication, and recoveries.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Okta IAM Engineer to design, administer, and enhance our Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Okta administration, access management, Okta development/customization, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to automate identity lifecycle and access provisioning.

Requirements:

Required Skills

• 4–10+ years of Identity and Access Management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Okta.

Experience with:

• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Strong knowledge of:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP identity integrations.

• Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Exposure to Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions.
• Understanding of Zero Trust architecture.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SailPoint or Saviynt.
• Experience with ServiceNow IAM workflows.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native authentication.
• Experience with SIEM integrations (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar).

Job Responsibilities:

Identity & Access Management

• Administer and maintain the Okta Identity Platform.
• Manage user lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.
• Configure and maintain authentication and authorization policies.
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and least-privilege access.
• Manage MFA, password policies, adaptive authentication, and account recovery.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and SSO-related issues.

Okta Administration

• Configure applications using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and WS-Federation.
• Integrate enterprise and cloud applications with Okta.
• Configure Universal Directory, Groups, Group Rules, and Profile Mappings.
• Manage Lifecycle Management (LCM) and provisioning/deprovisioning workflows.
• Maintain Identity Governance and access certification processes.

Okta Development

• Develop and implement enhancements using Okta APIs and SDKs.
• Build custom workflows using Okta Workflows.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
• Support custom authentication and authorization requirements.
• Implement event hooks, inline hooks, and API integrations.
• Perform development changes requested by business and security teams.

Terraform & Automation

• Manage Okta configurations using Terraform.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules for Okta resources.
• Automate provisioning of:

Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IAM security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct access reviews and periodic audits.
• Support security incident investigations related to identity.

• Implement Zero Trust security principles.

Collaboration

• Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams.
• Gather business requirements and implement IAM solutions.
• Create technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Provide L2/L3 support for IAM incidents.
