Job summary

Mindgate Solutions seeks an experienced OpenShift Administrator with a strong Linux background to install, configure, and maintain production OpenShift environments on VMware on‑prem. You will ensure cluster stability, performance, and security while enabling scalable operations.

Responsibilities include deploying OpenShift v4, managing Operators, integrating DNS, storage, and networking, and automating tasks with Shell scripting and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in OCP/Kubernetes.
• Hands-on OpenShift (v4) in production.
• Experience configuring DNS, storage and networking for OpenShift.
• Knowledge of OpenShift architecture: pods, routes, registry, lifecycle.
• Experience with logging solutions in OpenShift.
• Scripting for automation using Shell.

We have an urgent opening for Containerisation& Openshift role.

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Administrator with a strong Linux background and hands‑on experience managing production‑grade OpenShift clusters (OCP v4). The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing,updating, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting OpenShift environments in on-prem (VMware).

Key Responsibilities:

Perform end-to-end OpenShift installation and configuration on VMware-based on-prem environments.

Configure DNS, storage, networking, and logging solutions for OpenShift clusters.

Administer and manage production OpenShiftContainerPlatform (OCP v4) clusters.

Manage OpenShift Operators including installation, upgrade, and lifecycle.

Implement and troubleshoot OpenShift core components (Registry, Routes, Pods, etc.).

Develop and automate operational processes using Shell scripting and tools like Ansible.

Maintain system performance, uptime, and security.

Create andmaintain clear and concise documentation for all infrastructure and operations.

Collaborate with DevOps, Networking, and Security teams to ensure smooth CI/CD and monitoring setup.

Collaborate with ISD and infosec to resolve infosec related issues .

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 6 years ofexperience in OCP/Kubernetes

Hands‑on experience withOpenShift (v4 preferred) in production environments.

Experience configuring DNS, storage, and networking for OpenShift.

Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture and core concepts (pods, lifecycle, routes, registry).

Experience managing logging solutions in OpenShift environments.

Knowledge and hands‑on experiencein Shell scripting for automation tasks.

Experience with OpenShift troubleshooting, pod error management, andcontainerlifecycle.

Experience in handling info related tasks

Good to Have:

Basic understanding of GitLab CI/CD workflows.

Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.

Exposure to Logging and Monitoring tools

Basic networking knowledge (IPTables, firewalld, routing concepts).

Familiarity with VMware vSphere infrastructure.

Preferred candidate profile:

Candidates with sound Containerization and OCP Admin exp is must.

Candidates with Fintech Domain is preferred.
