Job summary

Applied Cloud Computing's division ACC is seeking an OCI Cloud and Network Engineer for its Pune location. The role focuses on managing OCI networking, security policies, and multi-cloud connectivity across enterprise environments.

The candidate will work with AWS, Azure, and GCP offerings, participate in incident management, and drive automation using IaC tools and scripting. A Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with OCI networking services: VCN, DRG, FastConnect, VPN, NSG, security lists.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, DNS, BGP, VLANs, subnetting, traffic analysis.
• Experience with firewall/security policy management and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support OCI cloud networking components.
• Configure and troubleshoot OCI networking services (VCN, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Lists, NSG, DRG, FastConnect, Load Balancers, VPN).

Role Overview

We are hiring experienced cloud professionals for our OCI-focused cloud and network operations team. The role involves managing and securing multi-cloud network infrastructure, firewall policies, cloud connectivity, and automation across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support OCI cloud networking components.
• Configure and troubleshoot OCI networking services (VCN, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Lists, NSG, DRG, FastConnect, Load Balancers, VPN Connectivity).
• Handle firewall and security policy implementation.
• Perform network troubleshooting across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Support cloud‑to‑cloud and on‑premises connectivity.
• Work with multi‑cloud environments including AWS and Azure.
• Implement and maintain secure network architecture based on enterprise and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Participate in incident management, RCA, and change implementation.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support automation initiatives using scripting or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Lead cloud network design and architecture discussions.
• Handle complex troubleshooting and major incident resolution.
• Review and optimize firewall/security policies.
• Guide L2 engineers and support technical escalations.
• Drive automation and standardization initiatives.

• Work closely with project and solution architecture teams.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• OCI Networking Services – Strong experience with VCN Peering, DRG Routing, FastConnect, Site‑to‑Site VPN, Security Lists & NSG, OCI Load Balancers, WAF concepts, Hybrid connectivity.
• Networking Fundamentals – TCP/IP, OSI Model, Routing & Switching, CIDR/Subnetting, NAT, VLAN, DNS/DHCP, BGP, VPN, Layer 3/Layer 4 concepts, Network troubleshooting, Traffic flow analysis.
• Firewall & Security Knowledge – Palo Alto / Check Point / Fortinet firewall understanding, Security policy management, Rule creation and optimization, URL filtering, Inbound/Outbound traffic control, Firewall troubleshooting and log analysis.

Preferred Cloud Knowledge

• Exposure to AWS (VPC/VNet networking, Security Groups / NSG, Transit Gateway / Virtual WAN, Cloud Load Balancers, IAM basics, Cloud routing concepts).
• Exposure to Azure (Service Bus, Load Balancers, Networking).
• Exposure to GCP.

Preferred Automation & DevOps Skills

• Terraform, Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, CI/CD concepts, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
