Job summary

RAHI Care Private Limited in India is seeking a Dialysis Nurse (fresher to 2 years) to conduct pre-dialysis assessments, monitor vital signs, dialysis prescriptions, and ensure patient comfort before, during and after sessions.

You will monitor labs and electrolytes, manage potential complications, provide emotional support, document outcomes, maintain infection control, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• GNM or B.Sc Nursing with valid registration.
• ANM with renal care experience of at least 6 months.
• Fresher to 2 years experience in dialysis nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-dialysis assessments including vitals and medical history.
• Monitor lab results and adjust dialysis prescriptions.
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
• Continuously monitor for adverse reactions and complications.
• Recognize and manage hypotension, cramps, and infections.
• Provide emotional support to patients undergoing dialysis.
• Document patient data and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and sterilize dialysis equipment.
• Monitor access sites for signs of infection.
• Respond to emergencies during dialysis, including CPR if needed.
• Escalate concerns to physicians when required.
• Participate in QA activities to improve outcomes.
• Stay updated on dialysis technologies and nursing practices.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Monitor lab results (e.g., blood work, electrolytes) and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Assess patient comfort and well-being before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
• Continuously monitor patients throughout the dialysis process for adverse reactions or complications.
• Recognize and manage potential complications such as hypotension, cramps, and infections.
• Provide emotional support to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
• Document patient data, treatment outcomes, and any incidents in patient records accurately.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate treatment adjustments.
• Follow strict protocols for infection prevention, including sterilization and maintenance of dialysis equipment.
• Monitor for signs of infection at dialysis access sites and report as necessary.
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies during dialysis, including initiating CPR if needed.
• Recognize early signs of complications and elevate to the physician or other medical staff as appropriate.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to improve patient outcomes and the efficiency of the dialysis unit.
• Stay updated on the latest dialysis technologies and nursing practices.
